I am a guy, but I can at least try to understand that someone might want there to be more than one (confirmed) female character in the game, especially since that one character is mostly based around running and keeping out of the fight. Wasn't expecting to be dismissed -this- much, but I'm also not really surprised. I'm not calling for some widespread boycott of the game, but it's a little thing to change that can mean a lot to people. I am glad a couple people find it important, though.
Pardon if my viewpoint isn't entirely clear, I don't know it directly through a woman's view. It sounds simple and insignificant, but it can mean a lot. It feels like more than 1 out of 12 characters should be female, at least (though the Sniper is non-specific). And the game does note their gender in the endings, though the sprites are indeterminate and simply changing the ending text would probably be enough. And the loader's even a tribute to a female movie character!įor people who said "who cares": at least try to look it at the perspective from someone who doesn't take having their gender represented more proportionally for granted.
